Overnight Stay

Only patients with major surgery will be admitted overnight. Most healthfunds no longer cover overnight stay for minor hand procedures, nor is it necessary. All patients are monitored in recovery for 2 hours after surgery. If the surgeon or anaesthetist have any medical concerns, an unplanned overnight stay may occasionally be required.
