Appointment Information

Payment & Medicare Rebate

  • Appointment fees must be paid at the time of consultation.

  • Rebates can be claimed through Medicare. 

  • No cash payments.

  • Credit Card and EFTPOS payment only.

 

Fees 

Initial Appointment

  • Standard: $465.00 ( Medicare Rebate:  $86.15)

  • Pensioner: $330.00 (Medicare Rebate:  $86.15)

  • ADF Member: The invoice will be directly uploaded to the IRBS portal. 

 

Follow Up Appointment

  • Standard: $265.00 ( Medicare Rebate:  $43.35)

  • Pensioner:  $200.00 ( Medicare Rebate:  $43.35)

Steroid Injection (if required)

  • Standard and Pensioner: $200.00 ( No Medicare Rebate)

Appointment Checklist

  • Referral letter (Referral from GP (12mths expiry) or from Specialist (3mths expiry). 

  • Medicare card

  • Private Health Insurance details 

  • Name of the radiology group to access your images.​​​​​​​​​​​​​

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide us with at least 5 days’ notice, so we can offer this time to other patients in need.

Cancellation fees

  • 50% if less than 5 business days' notice

  • 100% if less than 2 business days’ notice.

Reply to SMS Reminder

Please reply to the SMS reminder which will be sent to you one week prior to your appointment.

Parking

Please allow extra time to find and pay for parking as it can be very busy around the hospital & medical precinct in peak periods.

Dr Green uses AI-supported secure medical recording and transcription software during your consultation. By agreeing to a consultation with Dr Green, you are consenting to the use of this technology.

Delays

There can be unplanned delays on the day of your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. Our staff do their best to minimise any inconvenience to you and greatly appreciate your understanding.

Please note: Canberra Hand Centre does not accept referrals for worker’s compensation or third party insurance claims; from the Department of Veteran Affairs or for medicolegal assessment.
